Group and individual consultation sessions offer professionals, carers and parents the opportunity to discuss worries they have about a child’s emotional well-being and/or behavioural presentation.
Consultations explore issues that can impact upon carers or staff members and offer group or individual consultation sessions focussed around a different problem area each session. Example areas of focus include:
- Reflecting on practice and the needs of the children in care
- Explosive anger
- Challenging behaviour
- Understanding and managing risky behaviours
- Understanding attachment and relationship needs
- Developing empathic behaviour management skills
- Exploring possible educational issues such as avoidance or poor attainment
- Therapeutic intervention and helping to embed therapeutic care principles
- Supervision for Home Managers or Senior Leadership Teams
Consultations can be delivered in a variety of ways, including just as one-offs. We have several packages (see below), including weekly, monthly or bi-monthly sessions either with or without whole agency training.
Our highly qualified clinicians will deliver these clinics at a venue of your choice or online.
We provide consultations to professionals such as residential care teams, social workers, school staff and health visitors. A written summary of what is discussed in the consultation session will be provided alongside an agreed action plan.
We can offer consultation in the following formats. Alternatively, we can deliver something more bespoke to meet the needs of you and your organisation.
We offer a range of consultation packages and we can create something bespoke for you if you’d prefer.
