We offer a variety of services for professionals including specialist consultation clinics, clinical supervision and training to help parents, carers and professionals to think psychologically about the children and young people they work with.
Consultation
Group and individual consultation sessions offer professionals, carers and parents the opportunity to discuss worries they have about a child’s emotional well-being and/or behavioural presentation.
It is an opportunity to consult with an expert about a particular issue, such as:
- Explosive anger
- Challenging behaviour
- Competitiveness between children
- ADHD
- “Targeting” of particular residential staff
- Hallucinations
- Dissociation
Consultations can be delivered in a variety of ways, including just as one-offs. We have several packages including weekly, monthly or bi-monthly sessions either with or without whole agency training.
Our highly qualified clinicians will deliver these clinics at a venue of your choice or online.
We provide consultations to professionals such as residential care teams, social workers, school staff and health visitors. A written summary of what is discussed in the consultation session will be provided alongside an agreed action plan.
Clinical Supervision
Our Service Director, Dr Amber Elliott, is an experienced supervisor and is listed on the British Psychological Society’s Register of Applied Psychology Practice Supervisors (RAPPS).
We offer supervision for Psychologists, general health and social care professionals, mental health workers and researchers who would like a psychological perspective on their work.
Psychological supervision brings a safe yet challenging relationship in which to stretch your theoretical and clinical thinking. Supervision can be orientated around any of a variety of theoretical models. The approach of the supervision will be established and agreed with you at the beginning of the supervisory period.
This will depend upon your needs, preferences and personal style.
As with all of our services, we carefully evaluate our supervision to ensure that we are meeting your needs and to adapt the process if necessary.
We routinely provide a written summary of what is discussed in supervision sessions.
